The Maker Space in The Great Hall of the Westport Library in CT provides a place for people to connect and create. The concept originated from the realization that the Library should provide experiences that take people from imagination to actual production. The Maker Space will open with a Maker-in-Residence, Joseph Schott, who will be building two model wooden airplanes with wing spans of 15'. Patrons are welcome to participate in the building of the airplanes. A 3-D printer will be in operation, and special Maker programs will take place both in and outside the MakerSpace.
