A Tibetan born in exile, Rinpoche attended CST Bylakuppe in Mysore and CHITS in Sarnath, Varanasi. In 1984, he was officially recognized by His Holiness the Dalai Lama as the 6th reincarnation of HorChoeje Ngawang Phuntsok of the Tehor Region. He furthered his spiritual training at Drepung Loseling Monastery and received the Geshe Lharampa degree there.Together with some Dharma friends, he founded Emaho Foundation: www.emahofoundation.org He has written a book with Ashley Nebelsieck called "The Backdoor to Enlightenment." It is available in English, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Korean. Presently Rinpoche travels around the world teaching the Dharma and helping people meet the struggling world with open heart and open mind.
