Providence Missionary Baptist Church (PMBC), is a group of believers dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel message of Jesus Christ and making disciples throughout our community, state, nation, and world. In 1815 a group of believers from Concord Church in Knox County KY, came to the wilderness of eastern Laurel County KY and by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, endeavored to establish Providence Missionary Baptist Church. For the past 195 years, PMBC has shone as a light for Jesus Christ to the community and surronding area. Many area churches, as well as the Laurel River Baptist Association, were estabished as a result of the missionary work of PMBC. Throughout the changes in our community, state, nation, and world over the past 195 years, PMBC has never wavered to stand upon Biblical principles, proclaim the Gospel, and disciple believers. We invite you to find the light of Jesus Christ as you worship and study with us.
