NCPC is the federal government's planning agency for the National Capital Region. The 12-member Commission is comprised of appointees and ex-officio representatives. Their work is supported by a permanent staff of planning, architecture, and urban design professionals. Through its long-range plans, monthly review of development proposals and partnerships with other federal and local agencies, the Commission seeks to protect and enhance the extraordinary resources of the national capital.
