monk johanan is an eastern catholic monk with a benedictine background. born in calgary alberta canada, with degrees from the university of calgary and stanford, which included theology at oxford at pusey house. An Associate of Nashdom Abbey, he converted to the Catholic Church in 1995 and then fell in love with the Eastern Church in 2000. he studies theology and prays the Divine Office, pursuing union with the Sacred Heart of Jesus thru the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady Theotokos, the Blesssed Virgin Mary. He once was a partier like Thomas Merton, and so follows him with, Mary Magdalene, into the desert. He wants to share his Good News about the Treasure there that he has found. Christ is Risen...Indeed He has Risen!
