Award-winning musician and teacher, Kathleen Theisen, NCTM, has presented workshops on technology, pedagogy, jazz piano, web design, and music business at conferences such as NCKP, MTNA, CMS/ATMI, CMEA, CSMTA, and WMTA. An independent piano and voice teacher for 22 years, she is co-president of Connecticut State Music Teachers Association and on the music faculty at Western Connecticut State University. A winner of the University of Wisconsin Beethoven Competition for her performance of Op. 106, Das Hammerklavier, she has also sung leading roles with regional opera companies and orchestras.
