http://crisischronicles.com John Burroughs, aka Jesus Crisis, is a Buddho-Taoist pacifist, poet, playwright, composer, and seeker in Elyria, Ohio. His works have appeared in dozens of print and online publications and ten musical stageplays he either wrote or co-wrote were "commissioned" by the State of Ohio and performed by prisoners as community service. His poetry chapbooks include Bloggerel (2008), Identity Crises (2009, with Doug Manson and Bree) and 6/9: Improvisations in Dependence (2009). Founder of the Crisis Chronicles Press and Online Library, John co-hosts the Lix and Kix Poetry Extravaganza at 7 p.m. every 3rd Wednesday at Lakewood's Bela Dubby Art Gallery and Beer Cafe, and is currently writing a book about his experiences in and out of the justice system. He also founded Poets of Lorain County, under whose auspices he hosts PoetryElyria (every Sunday from 1 to 3 pm at Jim's Coffeehouse in Elyria) and a monthly poetry event at the Avon Lake Public Library (every third Thursday at 7 pm). Co-founder of the annual Snoetry: A Winter Wordfest, John has performed in Michigan, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and across Ohio.
