FMSEA (Florida Marine Science Educators Association), founded in 1968 is a professional association of individuals and organizations devoted to the cause of marine education in Florida. FMSEA provides a network for marine educators working together to coordinate and expand marine education, communication and interaction. FMSEA is a regional chapter of the National Marine Educators Association (NMEA), an organization that brings together those interested in the study and enjoyment of the world of water, both fresh and salt. FMSEA is also affiliated with LEEF, The League of Environmental Educators of Florida. The FMSEA board of directors consists of elected officers, elected regional directors and a newsletter editor.
