Stephen taught himself guitar in 1970 and is continuing to learn hopefully. Recording results since 1979; posting online since 1995; broadcasting live in audio and now video since it was possible. His music is what he calls "ambient-situational" or soundtrack-oriented, but attempts to adhere to the credo of being (as Brian Eno put it once) that it be "as listenable as it is ignorable".
