The PixController Wildlife WebCam is a truly unique camera system. There are several video cameras sending signals to the PixController Wildlife WebCam. The main camera, which is on all of the time, sends a live signal to the base station/video servers about 100 feet away. This video camera is connected to an A/C power source. Currently there are 3 other remote wireless video cameras which are up to a mile away from the base station that are battery powered and charged via a solar panel. More remote video cameras will be added in the future. These video cameras are switched on when motion is detected such as when an animal in front of the camera. When this happens the base station will sense this incoming video signal and switch the live video feed to this remote camera. The remote video signal will be present as long as the animal is in front of the camera.
