NE Live@Lunabotics Mining Competition 2011 will webcast between 11 am - 12 pm EDT from the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex on May 27, 2011. The purpose of the Lunabotics Mining Competition is to engage and retain students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, or STEM, in a competitive environment that may result in innovative ideas and solutions, which could be applied to actual lunar excavation for NASA. Over 45 university teams are scheduled to compete in the competition. NASA EDGE will take you behind the scenes as the teams prepare their robot for lunar excavation. We're looking forward to seeing the robots in action!
