Rashad "Hurricane The King" Hawkins is a young rapper/producer from Baltimore MD. In his 5 year career HTK has done work with some of the biggest artist locally as well as some of the most respected names in the rap genre, This list includes Tha Profitt, Skarr Akbar, M.O.P, Lil Wayne, Slicc Pulla, Flamez, Kezey, and many other local acts. HTK has released several street mixtapes such as Kings Out The Deck, Off The Shelf, and most recently Tonez and Flowerz (with JT Tha Source and We Got Next ENT). In December 2010 HTK and Kezey worked together to(In 3 days time) produce,package,and release an all original instrumental album called "The Baltimore Art Project". Outside of music, HTK is an extremely involved advocate for social change, he is currently the Youth Organizer for the JustKids Campaign (The Campaign To End The Automatic Prosecution of Youth as Adults In Maryland). He has lead a string of community meetings, school visits, and other organizing events around the Automatic Waiver issue. Right now HTK is working on several projects scheduled for release sometime in 2011.
