Heather is a red-tailed hawk living in Dallas, Texas. Nestled on the precarious ledge of an office building's top floor, Heather has laid her eggs here for the past five years. Her first egg last year was laid on March 1st. Incubation time for each egg is around 28 to 30 days after it is laid. Her chicks will begin to fly about 40 days after they hatch. You can see this beautiful process of nature occur through the live video feed here on ustream.
“Well, Hitch and Hatch have begun their journeys out into the world. See you in 2013!”
