Mark your calendars for the second annual Flash Forward Festival Boston presented by TD Canada Trust running from June 7 to 10 at Fairmont Battery Wharf. The festival is an extension of the Magenta Foundation’s successful Flash Forward Annual Competition for emerging photographers from Canada, the U.S., and the U.K. This year, the festival has expanded to include a carefully developed program of lectures, panel discussions (industry celebs like Vanity Fair, Photo Shelter and Winkreative will be in attendance), a mini book fair, public art installations and nightly celebrations. Visitors will have the chance to connect with important industry personalities, gallerists, content developers and potential patrons, and enjoy public art all while gaining insight into the state of the contemporary photography scene. Whether you are an emerging or established photographer, an arts-based media professional or just a lover of photography, this festival experience is for you.
