I. Rivera (A.K.A) Drumintellect or Intellect is a New York City-born Liquid Drum & Bass and Dance D.J. based out of Puerto Rico and Miami. He would quickly blossom to be one of the first liquid Drum & Bass D.J's in Puerto Rico. Intellect began his musical influence at a young age, with family members in the Puerto Rican Latin and New York City Urban Music worlds. From Latin Jazz, Salsa, Freestyle and Hip Hop, Intellect picked up this Urban Flow of music as his own. Intellect at a early age took interest in D.Jing at the age of 15, with his older cousin D.J. Trickz, a Freestyle D.J. based out of New York City. Drum started learning with the help from his cousin, and he was well on his way to discovering new genres of music. The first genres where Hip Hop, Freestyle, Funk, Soul, after words UK breaks, UK Garage, Ragga Jungle, Jungle Drum & Bass. Now Drumintellect is in the forefront of Liquid Drum & Bass in Puerto Rico & Miami, with over a Decade D.Jing on his belt, from Drum & Bass, House, Trip Hop, Electro, & Hip Hop, Intellect is a D.J for the people. Opening or playing along side acts like Aphrodite, 187, Jungle Brothers, Roni Size, Paul Oakenfold, Logistics, AK 1200, D.J. Dan, Juju, Vegas of Bad Company UK & Dj Hive just to name a few. After success headlining & opening for acts, he took a break to study audio at Full Sail & S.A.E, after school he focused on post-production for studios & known artists in the local & international scene. Now working on his own with The Society Inc, a company started by I. Rivera in 2005, a small production house & studio in Miami where Intellect mixes his unique sound & produces. He continues to study at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, majoring in Broadcasting to become a radio personality & TV host for Electronic Music. Drumintellect brings a clean futuristic Nu-Jazz Funk sound of Liquid Drum & Bass & Electronic Dance Music of all of genres.
