Meet Petunia, our new foster mama and her six adorable and talented kittens! She was rescued by the Langley Animal Protection Society (an exceptional no-kill animal shelter in British Columbia), and we are fostering them for the next 8 - 10 weeks. Once they are big enough, all seven will be spayed and neutered, then return to LAPS to find their forever homes.

A huge thank you to Pet Fusion, for covering the cost of two neuters, plus donating one of their awesome Cat Scratcher Lounges to LAPS! It's the "figure 8" thing everyone's wondering about in the chat. :)
Here's a link to the Pet-Fusion kitty lounge! And they're offering a special 5% discount through Thursday (May 2) if you enter KITNLOVE at checkout. I have three around the house for my own cats, and they LOOOOVE them. Plus, they look nicer than any other scratching post I've been able to find!

The costs of food, vet care, vaccinations, spays/neuters and other supplies far exceed the fees collected for adoptions, and LAPS relies on donations to bridge that gap. Since we are a no-kill shelter, we often care for animals other shelters would consider "lost causes" because they require additional medical care, hugs and training before they become adoptable. One-time donations or small recurring donations go a long way to help. Please consider donating directly to LAPS (you will get a tax receipt)!
