Many Broadcaster and Viewer issues can be solved by ensuring you have the latest versions installed on your machine. As a first step check to see that you have the lastest & greatest.

1. Clear your browser cache and cookies,
2. update browser,
3. update your Flash Player, check firewall settings,
4. update OS,
5. update webcam driver

My recorded video is green, what do I do?

If you are using a mobile device, please reinstall the Broadcaster App.

I recorded a stream but it is not saved

Ustream does not automatically archive videos. If you’re using a mobile device, please make sure you clicked the "Save" button before disconnecting or closing your device.

I recorded a stream but it is set to 00:00

This may be due to double-clicking the Record button. Please click "Start Record" just once before recording videos. While recording, please make sure the recording button is Red, indicating recording is in process.

Recorded video is shortened

This may be due to a disruption with internet connection. Please ensure you have a stable connection. Use a wired ethernet connection for best results.

The upload to Youtube button does not work, what do I do?

Please ensure the length of th video is more than 10 seconds and under 10 minutes long.

The Cut button does not work

The Cut button does not actually cut off parts of your videos. It is only a marker for where the video will start and stop.

When I click Start Broadcast, a grey screen is displayed. Please help!

Please clear cache, cookies, and history on your browser and update OS, browser, Flash Player, and webcam driver. Please ensure no other webcam software is running and your lens cap is removed. If this does not resolve the issue, please use another webcam or an internal webcam. If the other webcam works, it may be that your original webcam is broken or is incompatible with Ustream.

I am getting the spinning wheel of death! Please help!
