Qualifications & FAQ

To become a Ustream Partner, you must meet these minimum requirements:

  • You create original videos suitable for online streaming.
  • You own or have express permission to use and monetize all audio and video content that you broadcast -- no exceptions.
  • You regularly broadcast videos that are viewed by thousands of Ustream users.
  • You have at least one recorded video example of your regular live broadcasts on Ustream.
  • You adhere to our Terms and Rules of Conduct and all Policies of Ustream.
  • Your broadcast does not contain objectionable material, and is not the intellectual property of others.

Why should I become a Ustream Partner?

How long does the application process take?
If you already have an approved AdSense account, less than 24 hours. If you don't yet have an AdSense account, becoming a partner will take up to 3 days.

How do Ustream Partners earn money?
Our Partner Program is a revenue-sharing program that allows creators and producers of original content to earn money from their videos on Ustream. You can earn revenue from relevant advertisements that run against your videos using Google's proprietary technology. The program is free to join.

How much money will I make?
There are no guarantees under the Ustream Partner agreement about how much you will be paid. Please visit the case studies above for examples of partners who have done well with the program.

What type of ads will run on my content?
The ads we display on your Ustream channel are determined automatically by our system. They are based on a number of contextual factors relating to your video, such as video category, for example.

I applied to become a Ustream Partner, but was not accepted. Why not?
Applications are reviewed for a variety of criteria, including but not limited to the size of your audience, country of residence, quality of content, and consistency with our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
