In early, 2012, a female Black-chinned Hummingbird arrived in Sedona, Arizona, having passed her winter in Mexico. She had two successful nests, both less than 75 feet from the office of the Hummingbird Society. In September she left, to return to Mexico. On 3/27/13, she returned! By 4/3/13 she had refurbished one of last year's nests (the one directly in front of the Hummingbird Society office) and had laid her two eggs. They hatched, and on May 12, they "flew the coop". Mama is already sitting on two MORE eggs, using last year's #2 nest, to which she added more Hummer Helper (nesting material)
