Welcome to Alessondra's Great Horned Owl Cam, Live from Oklahoma City
Alessondra's thrilled that you've visited the Ustream feed dedicated to "Mrs. Tiger" and her owlets on our second-story planter ledge. As homeschooling parents who believe every experience in life has educational value, we've set up cameras to help get a better view of the entire experience, and we have gladly made it available to the rest of the world. Though this year's owlets, Tigris & Teegra, have already fledged, we invite you to check out our video archive of some of the great highlights of this year's nest.
About The Hosts
We are a young family of four, with two daughters. Alessondra is 7 and Giavauna is 2. Deziray home schools Alessondra (and will Giavauna, eventually, as well), co-leads a women's ministry, and is a Physician Assistant by profession. Jeff builds new homes in Oklahoma City and loves using technology in just about any way he can. They are members of Lifechurch.tv, and enjoy involvement both at church and within the community.

Please use your best judgment and follow the mods' direction in this regard.

Akela is from Pittsburgh, PA and is a semi-retired grandfather and Boy Scout leader. He loves all raptors but is a self-described falconut. He runs a facebook group for the falcons in his hometown.
beakerlips is a graduate of the Florida School Of Grooming, and has groomed dogs for 37 yrs. She has shown dogs in obedience/conformation , but finds her calling in rescuing cats & dogs. Her excuse for picking them up is her desire to find them good, forever homes. She does every time…at her house!
Carolyne12 lives by the shores of Central-NJ. C12 loves to interact with chatters, & being a Mod has opened a huge new world. She lives by the quote:" Tribe, tell me and I'll forget. Show me, and I may not remember. Involve me, and I'll understand." - Tribe Unknown
Crazyhorse2002 is a native american storm chaser from Hornell NY, and loves all things dealing with wildlife.
Daxxie is a certified computer nerd, work & play, loves to swim, garden, loves her 'snoopy dancin' hubby Redferne & their 4-legged kids (1 mutt & 2 kitties).
DezirayClick is Alessondra's Mom. Besides modding the chat, she home schools our daughters and co-leads a Women's Christian Ministry.
Gsogirl lives in North Carolina. Her wildlife cam obsession began in 2011 with the Decorah Eagles. She enjoys chatting and learning new information from our chatters. She loves the quote, "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." --Anatole France
isabellenuenninghoff is a German living in Switzerland, and is a business psychologist by profession (but loves observing nature and animals just as much as people).
irolRocks lives outside of Flint MI, (please don`t hold it against her) and was raised on a farm. She enjoys the outdoors, loves all animals and likes to hang out with the peeps at OKC. She has 1 son, 1 cat, 1 horse and 1 very spoiled Bull Terrier.
JudyRameior lives in eastern MA, and started watching wildlife cams in spring 2011. She quickly became hopelessly owl-dicted.
Kb7get (Tom) lives in Idaho. He serves as a back-up Mod.
Morlach lives in Adelaide, South Australia, grew up on dairy farm so has been around animals all his life. Loves watching wildlife cams of all types from Eagles to Owls to Panda Bears. Is an IT geek in real life and loves playing with his gadgets.
Okieemma is a librarian by day, owl watcher by night, & lover of nature always! she is very excited to be part of this owlsome experience!
PAWSMaryMare is a talented animal portrait artist with a knack for learning fast and minding the details.
polo7422 lives in SE Michigan and has a great love of our wildlife friends, and thinks that live stream cameras are a very informative way to learn about nature.
Redferne grew up with a German Shepard that taught him how to track, observe, and listen while on long walks in woods. His first real introduction to wildlife was a baby robin which he fed and cared for on his nightstand as a boy. Its first release, learning to fly, it was ambushed by a cat that vanished into the woods. From that point he was hooked on nature and all of its mysteries.
SwtLisaLu lives within a few miles of Mrs. Tiger and knows lots about raising baby birds…she's raised dozens and dozens of her own. She's quite the "great matriarch."

- • Egg 1 owlet named "Tigris." Hatched 2.22.13 @ 7:03PM CST/-6GMT.
- • Egg 2 owlet named "Teegra." Hatched 2.24.13 @ 1:00PM CST/-6GMT.
- • "Mrs. Tiger" is a wild Great Horned Owl and is the mother of the eggs. It's her 5th time laying 2nd time brooding eggs that we know of.
- • She is nesting in our 2nd story iron planter ledge inside a niche with 3 planter boxes. She dug her own nest in the dirt.
- • She is located in NW Oklahoma City in a golf course community with lots of un-developed land around it.
