The Melodic Caring Project (MCP) is a registered 501(c)3 Not-For-Profit which aims to bridge the gap between technology, music therapy and the patient-artist relationship in being the first unified network of musicians to offer live-streaming music therapy to patients.
The Melodic Caring Project's model meets a real and pressing need in the market for new innovative approaches to music therapy offering ease, accessibility and comfort to those suffering from serious illness.
The Melodic Caring Project is about one artist playing a live and extremely personal show for one patient. That performance is filmed and Ustreamed directly to the patients hospital bed where they can watch the show in the comfort and anonymity of their own room. Through a live-chat feature on the Ustream page, the patient’s family and friends can join in and send real-time messages of encouragement and love creating a true sense of community and support. This unique service is free to the patient and free to the hospital.
