Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA), Chairman of the HELP Cmte., stated that the final health legislation coming out of the Senate will have a public option. He also spoke about the challenge of reconciling his Cmte.’s reform bill with the Senate Finance Cmte.’s, estimated by the CBO to cost $829 billion over ten years.
