日本経済新聞社が毎年5月に開催する国際交流「アジアの未来」。19回目を迎える今年のテーマは「アジア新時代 連携への道～共生の方策を探る」。シンガポールのリー・シェンロン首相やタイのインラック・チナワット首相をはじめ例年以上に東南アジア諸国を中心に多くの首脳、閣僚が参加。意見を交換した。

番組では、この会議の模様に参加者のインタビューを交えて送る。
緊張する朝鮮半島事情、領土・領海問題など安全保障上の問題が地域の不安材料としてありながらも、かつてなく連携を深めているアジア諸国。アジア各国のリーダたちはこの困難をどのように乗り越えどのような未来を描いているのか？
