Hosted by the Korean Government and the Global Green Growth Institute in association with the OECD, UNEP and the World Bank, the Global Green Growth Summit (GGGS) 2012 will be held from 10 to 11 May 2012 in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Under the main theme of "Global Governance for Green Growth and the Green Economy," GGGS 2012 will convene top economic and environmental policymakers and experts from around the world to discuss specific ways in which international cooperation could be strengthened to support countries that wish to pursue green growth and green economy strategies.
The Summit will provide a special opportunity for leading green economy practitioners and researchers to engage in a collective thought process about the cooperative arrangements and initiatives that could accelerate the transition to a new, more sustainable paradigm of economic growth and development. We hope the conclusions will contribute to the important, related discussions that are being held in key international bodies such as the G20 and the United Nations Rio+20 conference.
