Yingluck, Mahathir and ADB president speaks about economic perspective in Asia.

The International Conference on “The Future of Asia” is a forum that each year brings together political leaders and top business executives to discuss the future of Asia-Pacific nations and how development in the region stands to impact the global economy. Since its inauguration in 1995, the conference has come to be recognized as one of the foremost international conferences in Asia.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of relations between Japan and ASEAN. For ASEAN countries, growing ties with Japan — and increasingly with Asia’s new power China — are important.

From an economic perspective, relationships of interdependence are deepening. In the realm of politics, however, sensitive issues such as border and territorial disputes linger. In a year of leadership changes in Japan, South Korea and China, the question of how Asian countries should forge relationships and build regional cooperation is of the utmost importance. Prospects for the region’s continued sustainable growth will also be addressed.

In the 2nd day of this event, NIKKEI CHANNEL deliver the following programs.

Yingluck Shinawatra Prime Minister, Kingdom of Thailand

22:30(JST)-
