Here the following panelists are featured:
- Steve Colllins, reporter, The Bristol [Conn.] Press. Until a few weeks ago, Collins thought his daily newspaper would close. His topic: "Saving the Press: How a Local Daily Survived Near Death, but Must Morph."
- Jane Stevens, 2008-2009 fellow, Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute at the University of Missouri. Stevens, a Webcentric journalist who began her journalism career at the Boston Globe, is putting together the "RJI Collaboratory"; a do-tank of resources for local online news communities based in Missouri but partnered with many regional organizations nationally, including the New England News Forum. Stevens brings to the discuss months of studying what's going on nationallly.
All four panelists then answer audience questions.
