The Missouri turkey vultures are nesting in the loft of a barn near Marshall, MO. They are not on site year-round. In general, they return to the loft in mid-March and lay eggs in early to mid-May. Hatch starts in early to mid-June and young fledge in late August to early September. Turkey vultures feed primarily on carrion and the adults feed young by regurgitating the contents of their crop.
