Live video discussions on Yoga Meditation as described on SwamiJ.com with Swami Jnaneshvara Bharati (Swami J or Swamiji).
SCHEDULE
Saturdays, 8:30am-9:30am (central time in US): Open discussion on topics or questions from participants.
Sundays, 9:00pm-10:00pm (central time in US): Discussion of the book Perennial Psychology of the Bhagavad Gita by Swami Rama, (ISBN 0893890901).
RESOLUTION
The programs are streamed in low resolution video and audio for the benefit of people with slower internet connections. The sound quality is good enough, and the lower video quality is not a problem since we are usually looking at a separate browser tab with pages from the SwamiJ.com website.
TIME CONVERSION
To help you convert the scheduled times above to your local time, links have been added to the video program page on the SwamiJ.com website (through the service of WorldTimeServer.com). A separate link is there for each of the programs.

Q&A AND CHAT
Please use the chat box to type in questions and comments, as your interaction makes this a dialogue rather than a monologue or lecture. Please set up a login or screen name, using your real name, as this will also help to make this more like a discussion. If your name is not available because it is already being used, you might add your city, state, or country to your name, or add some numbers behind your name. I appreciate your participation in this way; it makes this a warm and lively experience together.
FIGURES/GRAPHICS
A separate web page has been created on SwamiJ.com which has many graphics or figures that we can use to enhance our discussions. Please open this page in a separate "tab" on your browser window. This will allow you to easily click back and forth between the broadcast page (and chat box) and the pictures. If you have a slow internet connection, I suggest that you open this page several minutes before the broadcast. During the broadcast I'll suggest that you look at a particular "Figure" number for the current discussion. Here is the link:

"FOLLOW" BUTTON
If you register for a Login name and then click on the orange "Follow" button, this will allow me to directly send announcements to the people who are most involved with these broadcasts. I promise to use this feature responsibly and not load up your email box. I've placed the "settings" such that Ustream sends you only a minimal number of automatic announcements.
FACEBOOK SATSANG
There is also a Facebook group that we can use to enhance this streaming video means of distance learning. Please remember that we are all learning together how to utilize these communications technologies. Here is the link:

GOAL OF PRACTICES
The goal of our sadhana or practices is the highest Joy that comes from the Realization in direct experience of the center of consciousness, the Self, the Atman or Purusha, which is one and the same with the Absolute Reality. This Self-Realization comes through the three streams of traditional Yoga meditation of the Yoga Sutras, the contemplative insight of Advaita Vedanta, and the intense devotion of Samaya Sri Vidya Tantra, the three of which complement one another like fingers on a hand. We employ the classical approaches of Raja, Jnana, Karma, and Bhakti Yoga, as well as Hatha, Kriya, Kundalini, Laya, Mantra, Nada, Siddha, and Tantra Yoga. Meditation, contemplation, mantra and prayer finally converge into a unified force directed towards the final stage, piercing the pearl of wisdom called bindu, leading to the Absolute. (more)
