Feeders are located on my porch in New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley. Typical seed includes black oil sunflower seeds and safflower seeds (though sometimes I add a cardinal mix). There’s also a suet feeder hanging in the tree.
Non-migrating birds that have visited so far:
House Finch (by the dozen)
Downy (or possibly Hairy) Woodpecker
Red Bellied Woodpecker (this guy is RARE)
Cardinals (my favorite)
Carolina Wren (they might migrate - haven’t seen in a while)
Video Setup: An old iPad 2 attached to a tripod. Video quality isn’t stellar, but looks pretty decent in HD (make sure you select HD 360p in the viewer settings). I usually have the sound on but sometimes I eat on the porch and mute the stream. I hope you enjoy my makeshift aviary.
