The Virtual Valentine's Day discussion is available to watch in the videos section on the right. Happy Valentine's Day! xoxo

Whether you love Valentine's Day or hate it, we’ve got something just for you! Tune in on February 14th at 1pm EST | 10am PST for the premiere of XOXOSMS.

Then, at 6pm EST | 3pm PST, join us for the XOXOSMS panel about love, intimacy, sex, and the Internet (all of our favorite things!).

This is a date night for the 21st Century: fire up Skype (or gchat or oovoo!), connect with your beloved, and tune into the film together. Then stick around to have a conversation about how technology is changing the way we live and love. Panelists include director Nancy Schwartzman, Lena Chen of “Sex and The Ivy”, Twanna Hines aka “Funky Brown Chick”, writer for Ebony and Glamour, Melissa Gira Grant of The Guardian and The New York Observer, Samhita Mukhopodyay, Editor of Feministing.com, and Melanie Wallner from student focused online dating platform DateMySchool.com.

About the Film:
XOXOSMS is a documentary film that follows the modern day love story of Gus, a home-schooled Christian boy from small-town Illinois that takes a chance and Facebook messages Jiyun, a beautiful New York City art student from Korea. The two meet in the only place two people so different might ever find each other: online. Their two-year correspondence over email, iChat and Skype blooms into a long distance relationship that is captured in instant messages and video chat footage. They are each other’s very first loves, and through the Internet, they establish a connection that feels as real as if they were right there beside each other. When they decide to take the plunge and explore their romance offline, one can’t help but wonder, can online love work IRL?
