Three high school best friends whose unique blend of natural harmonies has gotten them noticed in all corners of the music industry and international affairs. These three academically and vocally talented friends use their united voices for those who can’t. The Bonde launched singing a song in Shona (African language) and English to bring attention to the plight of young girls who are being raped in Zimbabwe as a mythical method to remove HIV/AIDS.
The State Department has noticed. Capitol Hill noticed. Amnesty International noticed. The Foreign Affairs Committee noticed. AOL noticed. The American Cancer Society has noticed and so did many others.
In just a few remarkable months since these best friends were discovered singing for AIDS and cancer patients and other underserved groups, Lauriel Harte Marger, 16, LeAnetta Robinson, 16 and Alexa D’Angelo, 17, started generating interest and enthusiasm across all ages and socioeconomic groups.
In addition to their hip, a cappella style, Lauriel is a musical flute prodigy and an awarded humanitarian. Alexa plays guitar, cello and is writing songs. LeAnetta is a hip hop dance prodigy from music dynasty lineage. The best friends are bonded by their encyclopedic love of many music genres across decades and cultures, their intense shared comedic wit, outstanding community service and shared values and friendship.
