The year is 2008. The UK's liberties and freedoms are being eaten away through enforced over-regulation , taxes and political correctness. Hundreds of new laws are surrepticiously introduced in order to criminalise more and more of the population. The 'problem , reaction , solution ' paradigm is now in evidence as the hidden Governors restrict personal liberty in the name of safety and security. CCTV , regular bugging of individuals and groups , lie detectors , metal detectors and overall surveillance makes the once great country of Great Britain the most spied upon on earth. The rulers are desperate to introduce ID cards into this equation - and DNA databases are also on the horizon.
They propagate their agenda via disinformation , mass media manipulation , propaganda - most evil are their attacks and their encouragement for us to attack different factions of our once cohesive society. What is their ultimate aim? And how do we survive an almost daily assault on civil liberties?
The Political Rant seeks to report the news that the mainstream media either ignore or simply touch upon as an aside in news broadcasts.
