This a broadcast of the litter that resulted from the mating of Ch. Winterrun's Stone Creek to Chereed's Against The Wind. The pregnancy is confirmed and the litter is due near October 23, 2009.

The objective of this breeding is to match the outstanding conformation, head type and movement of Stoney with the Dede's large size and history of producing large dogs and, old-school pedigree.

Stoney is an outstanding example of Akita breed type. He is very solidly built, with a very good rear and awesome movement and very good rear. Stoney pedigree is a mixture of the legendary Goshen and Windom bloodlines. Stoney generally reproduces his phenotype.

Dede is a very large bitch. She weighs more than 100 pounds and is more than 26 inches at the withers. Dede's pedigree quickly goes back to Goshen and Chereed bloodlines. Legendary dogs in her pedigree include Hoss, Ransom and, Terminator. Dede has a well earned reputation of producing large pups. She has several sons that are more than 27 inches tall and weigh more than 120 pounds.

We feel that this breeding gives us an outstanding opportunity to produce pups whose phenotype is very similar to Stoney, but in a taller and larger form. We eagerly anticipate this litter.
