SoCalDrumSociety.com was started by Craig Zarkos and Duncan Moore and was designed to help create a greater sense of community among drummers and percussionists in Southern California.
We are located in the Oceanside area, easily accessible to players from San Diego County as well as Orange County and Los Angeles. We've also got members from out of state and around the world that will be contributing and following the goings on via Internet and Live streaming from Ustream: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/socaldrumsociety

We have regular monthly meetings in which we explore various aspects of drumming, recording, the music business, and whatever else the members bring to the table. This is achieved through clinics, presentations, performances, roundtable discussions, and just hangin’ out!

The regular monthly meetings are augmented with special clinics and performances by well known guest artists and scheduled around the artists' touring schedules and availability.

Though the regular meetings are free of charge, there is sometimes a charge for special events to cover guest artist fees and expenses. This is a non-profit organization, and all money goes directly to the artists and some minor operating costs. (Web space and coffee!)
