Midosuji(御堂筋) Boulevard is the primary main street in central Osaka, Japan. It runs north-south, passing Umeda, Yodoyabashi, Shinsaibashi, Dotonbori, and Namba districts. New-Midosuji(新御堂筋) is the road which extended Midosuji north toward Shin-Osaka where the Shinkansen was opened for traffic in 1964, and also was extended to the Senri area where the Expo'70 was held in 1970. You are looking at part of New-Midosuji towards north-oriented Shin-Osaka from Umeda. This is the front door into the Osaka downtown. You can also see a subway Midosuji line and final approaching airplanes to RWY 32 of Osaka International Airport(RJOO) in this view. The upper right of this screen is near the TENMA(FAF of 32R point).
