Samantha Marq talks about music, video games, tech, football and her love for the Packers, and love and life as we all see it.
Samantha Marq is a musician, philanthropist, volunteer, an heiress to the SC Johnson fortune. Samantha has teamed up with mega producer, K.O. The Legend, whose credits include Britney Spears, Leighton Meester, Lil Flip and the film Stomp The Yard to create a unique blend of hip hop infused pop and dance on her debut outing “The Evolution of Life in Dysfunction”. Her first single “Super Girl”, featuring Jessie Payo, was mixed by Serban Ghenea (Britney Spears “Circus”) and mastered by Gene Grimald (Lady Gaga’s “The Fame Monster”).
In an innovative marketing campaign, Samantha will release each track off the album separately over a period of time as “diary entries” and also treating each new single as an album release unto itself, complete with full videos, artwork and promotion. Her website will act as a home base for all things Samantha Marq, including exclusive videos, news, events, twitter and a place where fans can interact directly with Samantha. Already a regular staple on the Hollywood Red Carpet scene, this heiress is all grown up and ready to take the music world by storm.
Originally from Virginia Beach, a young Samantha grew up surrounded by the music industry’s top talent. Her father, Michael Marquart, owned a prestigious recording studio called Windmark Recording. It was there, watching Justin Timberlake and famed production duo, The Neptunes record, that her musical dreams were born. After graduating high school Marq moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music. Never one to follow the crowd, Marq is not your typical heiress; she is a hardcore gamer and a tech head as well. Now a graduate of Pepperdine University, Samantha is ready for the world to hear her music and go on a “Dysfunctional” journey of love, sadness, joy and most of all, dance.
