Rescued dogs that need a home and a purpose. Combat veterans that need help, hope, and a full-time friend. K9s For Warriors brings them together through training and providing service dogs - free of charge - to US Veterans coming home from combat with Post Traumatic Stress Disability or Traumatic Brain Injury. The organization is the largest of its kind in the nation.
Work and play with the future service dogs of K9s For Warriors on this series of live animal cams! Join the pups in their outdoor Dog Park as volunteers and recipient Veterans train - and romp - with the rescued dogs that will help alleviate traumas that come from serving the US Armed Forces in combat. Go behind the scenes on the Mobile K9 Cam - take part in graduation ceremonies, go on live tours, and watch special events.
K9s For Warriors was founded in 2011 by Shari Duval after her son Brett returned home from Iraq with PTSD. She hoped to help him through his love of dogs. To date, 263 Veterans have been matched to service dogs through K9s For Warriors.
