7/31/2011: The web camera has been shutdown, but please enjoy the videos.
7/30/2011: The three babies fledged yesterday afternoon. The parents are easier to spot currently, as they are in the trees "fussing" if you get to close to the babies. Everyone seems to be safe.....
The live-camera will be shutdown later today, but the videos will remain available until the site is deleted.
THANKS FOR WATCHING!
7/29/2011 noon: The 3 babies have NOT fledged yet (7/29, noon) but will soon. They are on the ledge, between the nest and the camera itself. The camera is on top of a box about 12" away from the nest, and the 3 babies are between the box and the nest.
The 3rd (final) egg hatched 7/16/2011 around 4pm.
2 of 3 eggs hatched on 7/15/2011.
The parents have been busy feeding the babies. The mother is the larger of the 2 birds.
I have a few videos available, and will add more as I can.
2 eggs were laid approx. July 3rd, the 3rd egg on July 4th. Typically 3-4 eggs are laid, the range can go from 2-6.
Robins eggs hatch 12-14 days after the LAST egg is laid, and the baby birds spend another 2 weeks in the nest before fledging.
NOTE: There is no infra-red lighting, so no "night-vision". However there is a motion-detecting porch light which might come on if someone walks past....
