RESILIENT WAIMEA-- THINK TOGETHER: HOW CAN WAIMEA COMMUNITY PREPARE FOR AND REDUCE THE RISK OF EMERGENCIES AND DISASTERS?
Please attend and bring your ideas, your questions, and your concerns. This will be a “round table discussion” with the goal of creating a Waimea Resilience Plan for the following categories of disasters:
- Pandemic illnesses
- Earthquakes and hurricanes
- Shortages: food, fuel, and water
- Contamination/pollution: air, water, land (including vog)
- Dying planet: global warming, acidic ocean, and other cumulative risks.
