A small group of friends first got the idea to start a live web show in their basement in 2010. This "pilot" project was wildly popular. We got 350,000 views in 10 months. We shut the show down and over the next couple years refined the concept and planned. The show is called Printing House and is a community that individuals can use to promote themselves. We stream wherever and whatever the fuck we want people appear both physically and virtually to chat about current affairs or whatever. This model has proven extremely popular in the past and we expect it to be again. We are just a small group and will eventually need a lot of help. Our revised concept: We want this to be a show anyone can emulate. We want to build a multi-platform on-line presence. We want to use service providers like: JustinTV, Ustream and LiveStream because we will not have to do our own coding. We will not be using any expensive or difficult to use hardware. We want to have a mobile live stream in the near future and then hope to become more politically active. We want to bring live video streaming more into the mainstream media where it has the potential to empower many. This technology was used to protect the second aid flotilla to Gaza after the first one was attacked by Israel; it was also used extensively during the Occupy movement and recently at the trial of Bradley Manning.
