Australia’s highest rating regional television station, NBN Television, will web cast live from Newcastle Basketball Stadium’s Main Court during the MGA Insurance Waratah & State League Finals Weekend, Saturday August 14 and Sunday August 15.

The web cast will culminate on Sunday with the Waratah League Women’s and Men’s Grand Finals, which will be shown with full commentary and a 2 camera feed. Coming out of retirement for the call will be legendary NBN basketball commentator Mike Rabbitt and co-caller Sydney Kings Coach and Hunter Legend Ian "Moose" Robilliard.

Also making his return to the sidelines will be Aaron Kearney who will reprise the role of courtside announcer.

The weekend sees the conclusion of the season, with semi-finals on the Saturday and the grand finals on Sunday. The grades include men and women grades of Waratah ABL, State League and Youth League with more than 3000 players, coaches and support staff descending on Newcastle from Friday. More
