The 2010 National Amateur Series takes off on Saturday January 30th from Chapparell’s Community Center in Akron, OH; when the NAAFS proudly presents Midwest Combat Challenge 10. The NAAFS Nation will be treated to a night of nail biting MMA action featuring some new names as well as many familiar faces returning to the NAAFS cage.

In a featured bout, Akron’s own Russ Halsey (5-4) of Pain Headquarters returns to the NAAFS cage at Midwest Combat Challenge 10, where he will square off against Team Titan’s Dalton Moss (5-1) in a National Amateur Lightweight bout. This will be the first time Halsey makes the cut to 155, no doubt looking to make a sharp run in 2010. Moss enters this fight looking to spoiler his return and to show the NAAFS Nation why he is considered by many to be one of the top prospects to keep an eye on in 2010.

Instigator Fight Team’s Jeff Hughes (3-1) will be competing at Midwest Combat Challenge 10 against Ryan Walls (3-1) of Central Block MMA in a bout that will have early implications on the 2010 National Amateur Heavyweight Division. In addition, the undefeated Isiah Chapman (2-0) of Rock Hard MMA takes on Evolve MMA’s “Super” Mario Micale (3-2) in a National Amateur Bantamweight fight. Plus Nick Kilian (5-0) of Team Relson Gracie & Strong Style Fight Team puts his undefeated record on the line against Rick "Make It Reign" Foster (4-3) of Triple Threat MMA in a National Amateur Welterweight division fight.
