Hummingbird Cam - "Elsa" an Allen's Hummingbird

    OFF AIR

    5/30/18- NOTE:

NO Hatch - 2nd egg contained a chick. Sadly, it died while attempting to hatch. Sometimes the chicks are just too weak to complete its hatch. Elsa will eventually abandon the nest with the two eggs. This can take up to two weeks.

05/25/18 - We are on HATCH WATCH!

    2nd egg laid 05/13/18 (sometime before 7 a.m. PST)

1st egg laid 05/11/18 (sometime before 7 a.m.PST) (This egg is not viable)

May 4, 2018 - Flash’s nest (containing the abandoned egg) is beginning to be deconstructed. Elsa has begun building a new nest in the rose tree directly to the right. She has never used this rose tree before.
