Update 03-28 view is no longer of the geiger counter but of the software view that is counting the clicks and giving a digital readout as well as the average CPM. You can still count the clicks if you wish, but the software is doing a good job. The geiger counter is a 1962 CDV-700 model 6A victoreen. It has been averaging about 18 CPM since i began over three weeks ago, just after the earthquake and sunami that has now caused the meltdowns in Japan. The exceptions have been on 03-19 when we first got slammed with fallout from the initial explosions, readings doubled and tripled that day. When the wind is blowing the counts also go higher becuase the gamma particles are blowing by. There is no wind right now so counts are back to 18 CPM. RADIATION vs RADIOACTIVE PARTICLES: Don't be fooled by news reports and gov agencies that are saying the radiation levels are safe. Yes, they are telling the truth, but they are talking about background radiation, and make it sound like they are saying everything is safe. This is a deception and a diversion. The FACT is there are radioactive particles in the atmosphere all over the states now, but highest on the west coast. It only takes one or several of these particles to be breathed in to cause health problems. They DO NOT address this issue when they are saying radiation levels are low, are of no issue. Particles in the air due to fallout of a nuclear event is NOT normal background radiation no matter how low the background radiation is measured. Even with this geiger counter at 18CPM which is normal, does not mean it is safe to breath the air right now.
