The seminar is a culminating action to a 1.5 year long participatory research project evaluating the Millennium Development Goals with people living in poverty. Throughout the world, ATD Fourth World has engaged people living in communities afflicted by poverty in an effort to gather their opinions on the state of development in their own lives.
On June 26th and 27th, participants of the research will exchange ideas with stakeholders engaged in the post-2015 process. The event will be an opportunity for people living in extreme poverty to have their voices heard, and for stakeholders to gain a new perspective. ATD Fourth World hopes that the seminar can serve as a model for UN actors to conduct future inclusive policy consultations on their own. The exchange will result in a summary of recommendations on the most effective means to deliver a sustainable development framework “that leaves no one behind.”
