The Kindergartners in New Glarus are learning about eggs. On April 10th, 24 eggs were placed in two incubators. There were many different breeds of chicken eggs, which is why the eggs are so many different colors. Here you can see our incubators.
As of Friday, May 1st five chicks have now hatched. Four of the chicks dried out enough that we were able to move them into the brooder box. After the hatching is finished we will move the camera to the box so everyone can watch them there while they grow.
