IN THEIR BOOTS is a groundbreaking new online magazine show that explores how the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are impacting people—veterans, active service members, and military families—here at home. Funded by a grant from the Iraq Afghanistan Deployment Impact fund (IADIF) and produced by Brave New Foundation, IN THEIR BOOTS will be streamed live and exclusively online. Each weekly episode focuses on a “Real Story,” non-fiction narrative about how our service people, their families, and their communities have been profoundly changed by the nation's campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan. Then, in a live forum, our host, Iraq veteran Jan Bender, will interview the documentary participants and lead an interactive discussion that includes experts, service-providers and individual viewers about the issues raised. Viewers will be able to participate via video iChat, video IM, and video Skype.
