Jon Jarvis, Director of the National Park Service, gathers more than 80 cross-sector leaders in health care, the environment, government, and business to draw a vision for a healthier nation. Healthy Parks Healthy People U.S. 2011, co-hosted by the National Park Service and the Institute at the Golden Gate, takes place April 5 - 6 at Cavallo Point Lodge within the Golden Gate National Parks. This forum to strengthen the nexus between public lands and public health is the first of its kind in the United States and will focus on how the National Park Service can most effectively foster public-private partnerships and utilize America’s local, state, and national parks to meet our nation’s health challenges.
