About GEONESS:
Explanation of how I broadcast is at the lower part of this section.
The reason I may not have the chat enabled is because there are a lot of obnoxious people and I really don't want to deal with them, so sorry if you're not one of them.
This channel displays my television live whenever I am playing. Ranges from things like Halo 3 to Grand Theft Auto IV.
Any 99% (since anything could happen) definite situations will be scheduled and noted several days beforehand.
Current Broadcasting Schedule is:
I do have a job with random hours and a life dedicated to many people. So playing time could be anytime of the day. However I am usually on every night past 9 p.m.
No times are official due to a constantly changing schedule, so never "expect" me to be on, and then start complaining when I am not.
All times are EST.
How I Broadcast:
I use a Dazzle USB 500. I originally had a Dazzle Video Creator Platinum also known as the DVC 170, but I soon learned that while that can record your television in HD quality, it is unable to broadcast live video. If you plan on broadcasting video live, do research on the kind of card that you are looking into buying, because not all cards are compatible for this sort of thing. From what I understand, if you are looking into a dazzle type of card, all cards under 100 (DVC 90, DVC 80) are compatible because dazzle did not make it mandatory to use its own software. The reason you need your card compatible with other software is because you need to use an external application to recognize the card. I use Super Webcam, but other examples of this could be ManyCam or Super Video Cap.
You have to let the external application recognize the card and then when you are trying to broadcast in Ustream, you use the application as your video source. Lastly, my audio is messed up, and is usually a complication with broadcasting, so I use a USB microphone which is sitting next to my speaker. It gets annoying but it works and the audio is very clear. This may all sound confusing (probably because of the way I explain it), so I'll put it like this:
Step 1: Find compatible card.
Step 2: Connect card to computer (watch out for audio, do your research on that too).
Step 3: If the card is not recognized as a video source, you will need an application like Super Webcam to recognize the card.
Step 4: Use the application as the video source.
Step 5: Make sure audio is compatible.
Good Luck!
