毎年恒例となっている東京オートサロンでのキックオフドリフト（D1デモラン）。今年の内容は、2台1組が、単走→追走をワンセットにしてトーナメントを進めていくというニュースタイルがお披露目される。この競技方法は2012年に開催するエキジビションで採用される可能性があることから、2012年のD1グランプリの動向が探れるキーポイントのデモランになりそうだ。
